Experience Requirements:
3–5 years of experience working within a university or with academic stakeholders in the U.S. in the context of SaaS or technology-driven solutions.
Experience with SaaS platform acquisitions at research organizations.
Familiarity with metadata concepts (Dublin Core, XML, DataCite, metadata harvesting).
Familiarity with bibliometric concepts (altmetrics, citation counts, journal impact factors).
Strong technical proficiency and ability to quickly learn and demonstrate product functionality, especially for academic repository and bibliometric platforms.

Responsibilities:
Lead Product Demonstrations: Deliver engaging, tailored demos of the Figshare platform for the Americas, highlighting key use cases such as open access publishing and research sharing. Support general demos for other Digital Science solutions, including Altmetric and Dimensions.
Drive Trial Success: Lead trial onboarding and training for universities and publishers, providing guidance, troubleshooting, and ongoing support to ensure a smooth evaluation experience.
Provide Pre-Sales Expertise: Act as the main technical advisor during pre-sales, addressing questions, mitigating concerns, and connecting product capabilities to customer needs and business outcomes.
Collaborate with Sales: Partner with the Sales team to design effective demo strategies, provide real-time technical support, and ensure smooth communication between technical and commercial stakeholders.
Assess Customer Needs: Engage directly with universities and publishers to understand challenges, demonstrate relevant solutions, and gather feedback to inform product and go-to-market strategies.
