What are the minimum pixel requirements for object identification and classification in icetana AI?
Faces: 40x30px. LPR: 75px wide, chars 20px high. People: 40x20px. Vehicle/Bicycle: 20x40px for accurate detection across features.
What are the functionalities of integration with the VMS systems?
Synchronise cameras, receive real-time streams, send AI events to VMS (bookmarks, alarms, custom rules), and run icetana AI interface within VMS client.
What video format (codecs) does icetana AI support?
Optimised for H.265 (recommended) and supports H.264. MJPEG is supported but not recommended due to high bandwidth and GPU resource usage.
What if my Video Management System (VMS) isn’t currently supported by icetana AI?
Contact us. Integration might be in development or on our roadmap. We are open to exploring compatibility with new VMS systems based on demand.
What Video management systems (VMS) does icetana AI support?
Currently integrates with Milestone, Genetec, and Nx Witness. We are continuously expanding integrations, so contact us if your system isn't listed.
How does icetana AI handle camera downtime or disconnections?
Logs disconnections and notifies operators via the interface. Event detection resumes automatically once the camera feed is back online.
Does icetana AI support encrypted video streams?
Yes, encrypted RTSP streams are supported for enhanced security. We recommend collaborating with your IT team to enable encryption protocols.
Does icetana AI work at night time?
Yes, it operates effectively at night if cameras capture clear low-light footage. The system analyzes whatever the cameras see, day or night.
Can I add and remove my own cameras in the icetana AI software?
Yes, users with administrator roles have the capability to add and remove cameras directly within the icetana AI software interface.
Do I need to have a Video Management Service (VMS) to use icetana AI?
No, icetana AI can operate standalone or integrate with a wide range of VMS platforms, offering flexibility to enhance existing security operations.
Do we need new cameras to use icetana AI?
No, icetana AI is largely camera agnostic and compatible with most existing camera systems, eliminating the need for new hardware purchases.
Does icetana AI support 360-degree cameras?
Yes, by processing each lens feed individually. A typical 360-degree camera with four lenses requires four icetana AI licenses.
Does icetana AI support processing pan tilt zoom (PTZ) cameras?
While technically compatible, it's not recommended for self-learning tech. PTZ movement requires relearning, which can reduce detection effectiveness.
Does icetana AI support processing infrared or thermal cameras?
Optimized for visible-light video, not officially thermal/infrared. May function if footage is clear, but performance/accuracy cannot be guaranteed.
What is the minimum and maximum frame rate (FPS) supported by icetana AI?
Safety and Security: min 15 FPS. LPR: min 10 FPS. Facial Recognition: min 2 FPS. Rate depends on specific product use.
