Responsibilities:

• Own physical simulation of the Figure robot, including technical roadmap and use cases

• Evaluate different physical simulation options (commercial or free) and make design trade offs and decisions based on robot requirements

• Design scalable solutions that integrate with Autonomy, Controls, and Testing systems at Figure

• Enable multiple uses of simulation, including: Generating synthetic datasets for machine learning, Tuning physical simulators to bridge sim-to-real gaps in contact-rich environments like manipulation and locomotion, Designing environments, assets, and APIs that cover customer use cases, Supporting simulation studies that inform future robot design.

• Develop and use modern software engineering techniques to implement high quality, well-tested software

Education Requirements:
