Experience Requirements:

• Proven experience in IT operations management, preferably in a tech-focused company.

• Knowledge of server and network management, security, and compliance standards.

• Understanding of agile principles and DevOps.

• Understanding of software engineering principles.

• Experience in managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts.

• Be the bridge between stakeholders, connecting users, developers, management, and our partners.

• Drive continuous service improvements, identifying opportunities for optimization and innovation.

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of our IT infrastructure, ensuring efficient and secure network performance together with developers and engineers. Help drive technical innovation and efficiency in infrastructure operations via automation and orchestration. Formulate and establish Key Performance Indicators, then actively manage and direct operations per these benchmarks. Handle escalation management with all relevant stakeholders, providing rapid and effective solutions to infrastructure challenges. Design and run processes including deployment, system administration, monitoring, configuration and change management, security management, capacity planning, availability management, inventory management, supply chain management, and routine update of services. Design and run fault prevention and resolution including incident resolution, problem management, monitoring, and disaster recovery

Experience Requirements:

• Proficiency with VFX DCCs like Houdini, Maya, and Nuke.

• Strong experience with Git, Python, and C++.

• Expertise in Ansible, Terraform,

• Experience with design, implementation, and management of SQL, and NoSQL solutions.

• Proven record with Linux solutions (RH and Debian-based).

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with senior management and production supervisors to develop long-term IT and VFX systems strategies.

• Implement enterprise architecture for current and future business requirements.

• Plan and budget for new infrastructure and VFX systems, ensuring cost-effective and efficient solutions.

• Establish and monitor IT policies and practices, ensuring strict IT security compliance.

• Act as an escalation point for resolving systems, infrastructure, and IT workflow issues. Develop and maintain solutions for IT infrastructure and VFX systems. Manage, create, and edit scripts to automate systems activities. Coordinate with Production for systems support after hours and on weekends. Lead and manage a team of System Engineers and DevOps Engineers, ensuring effective performance and a positive work environment

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Visualization, or VFX

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of VFX experience in, film/TV or gaming

• Strong Software Development Skills: Procedural and object-oriented programming expertise Ability to design and implement systems Production level understanding of modular, large-scale digital asset management and version control Strong knowledge of industry-standard review tools such as RV, along with experience integrating them into animation pipelines and enhancing their feature set In-depth understanding of colour management principles and colour-critical review processes. Experience with color pipelines using ACES/OCIO Knowledge of Production Technology/IT/IS methods, practices, and trends User interface design and standard UI toolkits

• Pipeline experience for at least one of these discipline groups: Modelling, UV, Texturing, Shaders, LookDev, Lighting, Rendering

• Third-party pipeline integration and plugin development for Maya, Houdini, Unreal Engine

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Pipeline team and CG Technical Supervisors to design, develop, evolve, and maintain the MetaPhysic Nuke/VFX pipeline.

• Write and/or maintain Python or C++ plugins and extensions for 3rd party packages used in the pipeline

• Attend Pipeline meetings as required

• Complete tasks within the time frame given by Supervisors

• Create production software, pipeline-related tools, and solutions
