What do I get with a free account?

Can I export the data?
You may copy/export the data from your Dashboard. Otherwise, data exporting is prohibited.
How do I setup a dashboard?
From the dashboard tab, all users can set up a list of stocks by hitting the dark grey "Edit Dashboard" button. From there, you can add new companies to your dashboard and sort by your preferred metrics. To add a new metric, simply browse or search for your metric of choice in the dashboard search bar.
How do I get access to KPIs?
Our unique, company-specific segments & KPIs are available to all users, covering over 1,700+ global at the moment and still growing! The amount of data varies by plan: Free: 2 annual periods & 2 quarterly periods, Plus: 5 annual periods & 6 quarterly periods, Pro: 10+ annual periods & 15+ quarterly periods
Do you have an Excel Add-in?
At the moment, FinChat does not offer an Excel Add-on. With our dashboard feature, we’ve allowed users to build a customizable list of equities, and choose appropriate metrics/ratios for their use case. The data is of institutional quality, and updated in real-time.
How much does FinChat cost?
FinChat is a free platform, allowing users to explore the platform before choosing to upgrade to a paid tier. Paid plans allow for more Copilot prompts, more data, and more advanced features. FinChat Plus ($29/month, $290/year) and FinChat Pro ($79/month, $790/year). Annual subscriptions come with a discount.
What is FinChat Copilot?
FinChat Copilot is an AI tool built specifically to handle complex financial questions.
FinChat Data Source?
Company Segments and KPIs are provided by our own proprietary FinChat terminal and taken directly from public company filings. Global equity fundamentals, ratios and estimates are provided by S&P Market Intelligence. No S&P data is used to generate AI summaries or responses.
Am I able to get FinChat Pro for free?
Yes! We want to encourage users to share the platform with their peers! For every email referral a user generates, they'll get one month of FinChat Pro for free. To refer a user, go to the FinChat.io landing page and hit the "Share URL" button in the top right. Once a user has signed up through your personalized URL, you will see your account has been upgraded.
What is the refund Policy for paid plans?
Refunds are ONLY applicable for annual subscriptions within 30 days of purchase or renewal. Refunds are available for annual billing plans within 30 days of subscribing or renewing your subscription. Monthly billing plans are non-refundable.
How often is the data updated?
Data for companies on FinChat are updated to the latest quarter. Company specific segments & KPIs are live within an hour of earnings results. Other financials, transcripts and fillings can take up to 2 days.
How many companies does FinChat have data for?
FinChat covers over 100,000+ total companies around the globe, from every market. When searching for companies, we recommend using the companies names rather than a ticker symbol.
Can I use my own API key for more prompts?
At the moment, we do not let users bring their own API keys to go beyond the prompt limit.
Why is 20 years of data not available in the dashboard?
Due to licensing agreements with our data providers, 20yrs of financial data is not available in the dashboard at this moment.
Does FinChat offer an API?
