FAQs
Is there a free trial?
Yes, you will get 25,000 free credits on signup which you can use to try the app. After you run out of those credits, you have to buy a credit subscription.Note - Top-ups are only available if you have an active Credit subscription.
How does the credit subscription work?
Subscribing to a recurring credit plan gives you a set number of credits. This delivery happens based on your payment cycle. You receive all your credits for the quarter/year the day you pay. These credits get used as you use the app.
What are the different types of charges?
Credits are consumed in two ways– 1. Recurring Charges – Services like additional channels, users, integrations, automations are charged on a recurring basis. Every month that amount will be deducted from your account.2. One-time charges – Sending messages is a one-time charge. We charge per message, so your credits are consumed based on the number of messages you send.
What happens after I finish all my credits?
When you run out of credits, you can either-1. Upgrade your recurring subscription if you think you need extra credits every billing cycle. Or2. You can top up your account, which lets you buy additional credits for a one-time fee. These cost more than recurring credits, so if you feel your usage is increasing steadily, it would be cheaper to upgrade your subscription.
Do credits expire?
Credits expire in two years on a roll over basis. So, credits which were added to your account in January, 2024 will expire in January 2026, giving you enough time to consume them.
How do I track how credits are consumed?
There is a detailed section which will provide information such as which service consumed which credit, when your recurring and top ups were added to your account, along with any bonuses from chatdaddy. Can head over to Settings>Billing
How is this system better than a tiered system?
In this system, you are only charged for what you consume. There are no arbitrary limits to what you can or cannot use. All features are available as soon as you sign up!
What are the different types of credit additions?
Credits are added to your account in the following ways–1. Recurring Subscription Credits (Paid)2. One time top-ups (Paid)3. Bonus Credits (free) – Bonuses we provide on signing up or completing certain tasks.
What happens when credits go to 0?
The app is locked if credits go to 0. You will be redirected to upgrade your plan or top up.
Are credits refundable once purchased?
Credits are non-refundable once purchased. We recommend you to use it fully to maximize your experience with our services.Feel free to contact us for assistance in optimizing your credits.
How is an active chat measured?
An active chat is any chat that has had a message sent in the current month. This is counted as one active chat.Once a chat is initialised, you can send unlimited messages to this chat till the end of the monthAn "active chat month" resets on the 1st of every month.
Are active chats priced for all channels?
No, active chat pricing is currently implemented for the official WhatsApp API Channels connected via ChatDaddy's own integration starting August 1, SMS, Email, Instagram, TikTok & Messenger Channels.Do note: per-message charges for emails & SMS are applicable as mentioned in the table below. Similarly, per-conversation charges for the official WhatsApp API Channels are to be paid to Meta directly.
