What data do I share if my app is open?
When your app is open, your intents, entities, traits and validated utterances will be accessible to the community, but not your live utterances.
Where is my Access Token?
After creating your app, you can find your access token in the app's Settings tab.
Is there any rate limit?
To support all our community, we do impose rate limiting. Please refer to our [latest HTTP API](/docs/http) documentation for the current rate limiting per endpoint.
Why would I create an open app?
Open apps benefit the community. New developers benefit from being able to leverage community knowledge, and all open apps are able to leverage data from open apps to become smarter. However, if you have privacy concerns, you may set your app to private.
Do you comply with the GDPR?
We comply with current EU data protection laws, which includes the GDPR. Please see our revised [Terms of Service](/terms), including the [Data Processing Addendum](/terms#16).
What happens if I delete my Meta account? Can I still access my Wit.ai account?
Wit.ai will use your Meta login to authenticate your access to your Wit.ai account. If you delete your account, you will not be able to access your apps.

What is Voice Cloning?
You can use the Voice Cloning feature to synthesise audio that sounds like voice samples you provide to us.
How does Meta use information I upload when I use Voice Cloning?
If you enable Voice Cloning, Meta will process your voice samples, transcripts and related data you upload to the Platform to train custom speech models using machine learning and manual review. Trained speech models can generate audio that sounds like your voice samples when you use our text-to-speech service. Meta will store your voice samples, transcripts and related data whilst your wit.ai account is active. This is necessary for quality control purposes, and so that Meta can provide continued technical support for the Voice Cloning feature.
How long does Meta retain information I upload for?
You can access and delete your stored voice samples, transcripts and related data at any time by logging into your account and navigating to the Voices pages. Meta will automatically delete your stored voice samples when your wit.ai account has been inactive for a continuous period of 2 years, or when you delete your wit.ai account.
