FrodoBots AI is an innovative platform that combines robotic gaming with the goal of solving Embodied AGI. It crowdsources real-world datasets by creating fun gaming experiences where players remotely control robots. The platform believes that with the right game design, tele-operated robot challenges become engaging for gamers globally, accessible via low-latency network systems and browser-based controls. FrodoBots aims to lower the barrier to entry by developing low-cost 'toy-like' robots, fostering a large community. A tokenomics model is planned to incentivize participation and share rewards. The core idea is to leverage gamers' actions as training data for embodied foundational models, similar to how Tesla trains Autopilot. FrodoBots also plans to open-source datasets, hardware designs, and SDKs to engage the research community in the pursuit of Embodied AGI. They currently offer 'Earth Rovers' (public beta) for robotic navigation and 'Octo Arms' (invite-only) for robotic manipulation, both serving as data collection and testing platforms.
