Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent

Experience Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in a Data Engineer/Software Engineer role

Other Requirements:

• Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including MySQL, MongoDB

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, or Scala

• Experience with ETL/ELT framework

• Experience with Airflow, Prefect

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.

• Set up and manage data infrastructure, including databases, data warehouses, and data lakes.

• Continuously improve data engineering processes and tools.

• Monitor data quality and integrity

• Implement scaling and sharding strategies for our databases to handle increasing data volumes. Optimize and scale data storage solutions to handle large volumes of data efficiently.

Education Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent

Experience Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in software development, including at least 5 years in a leadership role with direct and indirect reports

Other Requirements:

• High level experience in AI/ML fundamentals and up-to-date knowledge of AI/ML technologies and their trends

• In-depth knowledge of software development methodologies, tools, and technologies

• Strong experience and knowledge in SaaS

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English and Vietnamese

• Strong leadership and team-building abilities

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of engineering leaders and individual contributors, organizing resources against product areas and providing direction and performance management.

• Provide technical direction to the teams, including the identification and application of modern technologies and design patterns with an emphasis on scalability, data and AI.

• Apply agile development practices, collaborating closely with Product Management, QA, and DevOps to rapidly deliver high value features.

• Partner with Customer Support and Success to understand customer concerns and guide the teams to continuously improve.

• Lead the effort in sizing large feature development as part of the quarterly planning process

Experience Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience of development

Other Requirements:

• Stack: Javascript, Typescript, React, Node JS

• Skills/Knowledge: Proficiency with JavaScript frameworks, knowledge of non-relational database systems, advanced troubleshooting skills, high-level project management skills

• High Preference: Preference toward team members that have key experience in Shopify’s architecture such as Polaris, APIs and extension tools
