HookGen is a web app that creates brand new original song music hooks using Artificial Intelligence via trained Artificial Neural Networks. Currently, it generates piano melodies with plans to add drums, guitar, bass, strings, and brass instruments for simultaneous multi-instrument track generation. All generated songs are royalty-free and can be used for commercial purposes, with MIDI files available for download and use in any DAW. HookGen is free because it collects user interaction data, such as listening duration and song playbacks, which is fed back into the AI to continuously improve its song generation capabilities. Users can share generated songs via unique URLs. Created by the developer behind books.goalkicker.com, HookGen aims to demonstrate the creative potential of AI. It is optimized for desktop PCs and Macs, with limited functionality on mobile devices.

What is HookGen?
HookGen is a web app that creates a brand new original song using Artificial Intelligence. Currently only piano, but by the end of the year I will have simultaneous multi-instrument track generation.
Is HookGen free?
Yes HookGen is free. Furthermore songs generated are also royalty free; without the need to pay royalties or license fees.
Can I use the MIDI file in my own songs?
Yes, sure! Even allowed in commercial use. Just press the download button then you can use the MIDI file within any DAW including Ableton, Pro Tools and Logic Pro X.
Can I share a generated song?
Yes all songs have a generated URL you can access e.g. https://hookgen.com/#generated-song-id=Q7OYO7Z7SLIC5DL4
Why is HookGen free?
The AI is learning how to produce better songs from you using the app, by logging listening duration, skipped songs, and repeatedly played songs, which is fed back into the neural network.
Does this work on a mobile?
No, HookGen only works on a desktop PC or Mac. It sort of works on a mobile but the mobile screen is way too small.
