• Proficiency is concepts of monolithic and microservice architectural paradigms

• Proficiency in working on at least one of cloud hosting platforms like Amazon AWS, Google Cloud, Azure etc.

• Proficiency in at least one of database SQL, NO-SQL, Graph databases like MySQL, MongoDB, Orientdb

• Proficiency in at least one of testing frameworks or tools JMeter, Locusts, Taurus

• Proficiency in at least one RPC communication framework: Apache Thrift, GRPC is an added plus

Responsibilities:

• Designing, developing and maintaining core system features, services and engines

• Collaborating with a cross functional team of the backend, Mobile application, AI, signal processing, robotics Engineers, Design, Content, and Linguistic Team to realize the requirements of conversational social robotics platform which includes investigate design approaches, prototype new technology, and evaluate technical feasibility

• Ensure the developed backend infrastructure is optimized for scale and responsiveness

• Ensure best practices in design, development, security, monitoring, logging, and DevOps adhere to the execution of the project

• Introducing new ideas, products, features by keeping track of the latest developments and industry trends

Other Requirements:

• Expertise in C/C++ as well as decent proficiency in the Java programming language

• Experience in one of the below topics (both is a plus)

• Experience with using Git as a version control system

• Working experience with PID Controllers and other control algorithms is a plus

• Software filters as well as sensor data fusion algorithms such as Kalman filter

• Have implemented drivers and interfaced sensors such as IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit), time-of-flight, LiDAR, and IR sensors

• Knowledge of the Linux OS is a must

• Working experience on digital signal processors, ASICs, and FPGAs is a plus

• Knowledge of embedded OS frameworks such as ROS (Robot Operating System) is a plus

• Working knowledge of microcontroller / microprocessor peripherals such as DMA, interrupt handlers, memory profilers, and debuggers

• Experience with computational languages like MATLAB / Octave / Python is a plus

• Working understanding of application code profiling and debugging tools on embedded platforms for active memory consumption and CPU usage

• Knowledge of robot dynamics, inverse kinematics, and modeling and simulation tools is a plus

• Working experience on ARM CORTEX microcontrollers is a plus

• Collaborate with with the embedded software development team for hardware/ firmware co-design and system performance requirement translating to design implementation ; optimization

• Able to support to synthesize user and technical performance hardware requirements and develop appropriate solutions

• Electronic component and circuit analysis to design functional sub-system by simulation and physical implementation

• Assist engineers in the design and budgeting electronic system· Assemble electrical equipment necessary for the system· Handle the physical performance test of various electrical equipment· Perform regular maintenance with problems analysis and troubleshooting .
