How does support look like for the Emancro Robot System?
Emancro offers complete robotic solutions sold as an annual subscription, including 365-day live support and remote monitoring.
How does the robot’s productivity compare to a human technician?
The robot's speed is influenced by factors like travel speed (faster than technicians), AI-powered counting/barcode reading (instantaneous vs. human input), and pick-and-place speed (slightly slower, but improving).
How long does the robot’s battery last?
The battery lasts 13-20 hours depending on use. Two robots guarantee 100% uptime.
Can the robot open doors?
Yes, it operates electric doors (by pressing buttons or waving) but not manual doors yet (work in progress). It also operates elevators.
Is EASO 1.0 available for lease or purchase?
Currently piloting with select hospitals. Inquire on the contact page for pilot interest.
What does it take to set up EASO in our hospital?
Emancro staff visits, analyzes data to pre-train AI models, tests on-site, and deploys a fleet after reliable task completion.
What if the robot gets stuck or is unable to complete a task?
In case of failure, the Emancro control center is alerted and remotely operates the robot to restore functionality, ensuring 100% uptime.
Can I use existing medication trays and tray carts?
Yes, as long as they are standard sizes (like Pyxis and Omnicell Anesthesia stations). Emancro provides compatible carts.
Can I use existing shelves that the robot can pull items from?
Emancro will provide new shelves, offering the same or more storage space.
How does the robot know which trays to restock?
The robot checks for new trays via QR codes and restocks automatically. Manual requests are also possible via the Emancro WebApp.
How long does it take to prepare a medication tray?
Restocking a tray with 10-20 items takes about 5-10 minutes.
Will the robot be able to enter and work in a medication room with tight dimensions?
EASO 1.0 (2 feet diameter) fits in most medication rooms and can navigate tight spaces. Emancro staff can verify compatibility with hospital floor plans.
Will the robot get in the way of nurses and other medical staff?
Restocking usually happens during off-peak hours. A move-away button lets staff interrupt the robot, which then resumes after a set time.
How long does it take to restock a medication cabinet?
Restocking a cabinet with around 50 items takes approximately 20-30 minutes.
How does the robot authenticate with the Medication Cabinet?
The robot will use electronic authentication (not yet implemented in the pilot). Currently, it uses its finger to type the password.
