How are goal and initiative limits calculated for the Free plan?
You can create 5 goals and up to 50 initiatives across all teams in the free plan. These limits do not include archived goals or initiatives.
How is pricing per user calculated?
When you add a member to your Organization, you're charged based on your plan. If added mid-cycle, you're prorated. Seats become available for new invites if a member is removed.
What payment methods does North accept?
We accept all major credit cards. For annual subscriptions, invoices payable by bank transfer are possible. Monthly purchases must use credit cards.
Does North offer discounts for nonprofits?
Yes, North offers an 80% discount on all plans billed annually for eligible nonprofits and academic institutions. Contact hello@thenorth.io with official documentation.
Is there an Early-stage startup program?
Yes, North offers an 80% discount for up to 1 year on its best plan for startups under two years old, with less than $1m ARR, and 10 or fewer employees. Apply at hello@thenorth.io.
Does North offer training for product usage or OKRs?
Business plan users with annual commitment receive free personalized onboarding. For others, North partners with coaches for OKR training for a fee. Contact sherpa@thenorth.io.
Is the free plan truly free forever?
The free plan introduces outcome-based thinking. As an early-stage startup, pricing may be updated from time to time based on learned lessons.

What are the differences between monthly and annual billing cycles?
Monthly plans offer flexibility (billed monthly per user, cancel anytime). Annual plans provide discounted pricing but require a commitment, with charges for early cancellation.
