About
The Predictive Analytics Lab (PAL) undertakes high-quality Machine Learning and Computer Vision research. It focuses on Responsible AI, developing new AI and machine learning models that embed fairness, accountability, transparency, and trustworthiness. The lab is part of the Department of Informatics, University of Sussex, UK, with satellite labs in Spain (Bilbao) and Indonesia (Jakarta). Key projects include developing bias auditing and mitigation tools, Bayesian models for fairness and transparency, and injecting ethical and legal constraints into machine learning models. PAL is funded by ERC, EPSRC, DEFRA, and others.
