OI Avatar is a web-based platform to create videos using a digital representation of yourself in a virtual setting. It allows you to create your own speaking digital avatar in less than 5 minutes, and hear yourself speak with a proper English accent. You can practice how to speak English like a native, improve pronunciation, presentation, and communication skills, especially before interviews. The tool is currently in Beta phase and is free to use. To create an avatar, upload a 20-second video, type a script (max 225 characters), and select a voice (British or US English). Videos are typically generated within 5 minutes.

Why did you build OI Avatar?
We built OI Avatar to give people a powerful tool to improve their learning. Currently, it allows you to see yourself speaking in English but soon, you will also be able to do other things like, among other things, making your own lessons for others using your avatar.
How do I use OI Avatar?
You can do many things with OI Avatar and more functionality will be rolled out in the coming weeks. Currently with OI Avatar, you can: * Improve how you speak and sound in English by seeing yourself speak with the correct accent as we believe in the power of visualisation to make rapid improvement * Practice your presentation skills by seeing how you should look and sound in English * Practice your communication skills before having an interview, and much more!
Is OI Avatar free?
OI Avatar is in Beta phase, and it is currently free.
What is the Video resolution that I can upload?
To make your avatar you need to upload a 20 seconds video where you continuously say anything that you want. You can smile and move your eyes. Simply put, just be yourself. We highly recommend you upload a maximum resolution of 1080 p; the accepted video format is MP4 file format. And you should follow [these steps](#) to create your ideal avatar.
What is the video script length?
Once you have generated your avatar you can then give it a script which will make it say things which you can then see, hear and practice. The script length is a maximum of 225 characters and each script you can generate an avatar and download as a video. You can type your script directly into the [OI Avatar platform](/register)
How long do I need to wait before seeing my video?
Once you have given yours script and have clicked generate avatar, it will complete producing your video. It will be ready to download within 5 minutes. You will receive an email with a link for downloading it once it is generated.
What are the supported browsers?
You can use OI Avatar from Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. For the best experience, please use Google Chrome.
Can I use OI Avatar from my mobile?
Unfortunately, no. OI Avatar is currently for most desktops and laptops only, but don't worry! Our team is working on other features including making a mobile-friendly version, which will be available very soon!
