FAQs
What is meant by AI credits?
AI credits are consumed when the chatbot generates an AI response. Each AI response consumes a certain number of AI credits based on the model used.
What happens when I reach my AI Credits limit?
You will receive a notification when your credit usage reaches 50%, 90%, and 100%. Once you reach 100%, the chatbot will stop generating AI responses until the credits are reset at the beginning of the next month, or until you upgrade your plan or purchase additional AI credits.
Do Preview chats (aka testing) count towards the AI credit limits?
Yes. AI credits are consumed when the chatbot generates an AI response, regardless of whether it's a preview chat or not.
How many credits are consumed per AI message?
It depends on the AI model used. Here are the credits used per AI message for each model: * Claude 3 Haiku: 1 credit * Claude 3 Opus: 50 credits * Claude 3 Sonnet: 4 credits * Claude 3.5 Haiku: 1 credit * Claude 3.5 Sonnet: 4 credits * Gemini 1.0 Pro: 0.5 credit * Gemini 1.5 Flash: 0.5 credit * Gemini 1.5 Pro: 1 credit * GPT-3.5 Turbo: 1 credit * GPT-4: 20 credits * GPT-4 Turbo: 10 credits * GPT-4o: 1 credit * GPT-4o mini: 0.5 credit
When are my AI credits reset?
Your AI credits are reset on the first day of every month.
What is meant by "AI knowledge base characters"?
It refers to the total characters of content added to the AI's knowledge base. The knowledge base is made of up various data sources, such as webpages, sitemaps, documents, text, and FAQ. The AI uses this knowledge base to generate responses to user queries.
Is Chatling free to use?
We offer a free plan that lets you build and test the chatbot to see if it's suitable for your needs.
What is the privacy policy for my data and uploaded documents?
Your content and data are and will always remain yours. We claim no intellectual property rights over your data and will never sell them to other companies. For more information, please refer to our Terms of Service. For uploaded documents, they are automatically deleted from our servers once they're processed.
Do you train your AI model using my data?
Your data will not be used to train the AI models. Currently, we use OpenAI's AI models. Your content, data sources, and any inputs and outputs by the chatbots will not be used by OpenAI for their AI language models, as outlined by their data privacy terms. OpenAI's products, such as ChatGPT, will not access and use your data.
What is the advantage of using your chatbot over pre-built chatbot solutions?
Unlike pre-built chatbots, our chatbot allows you to train it specifically on your content, ensuring that it understands your unique business and can provide personalized responses to your customers. This leads to higher customer satisfaction and engagement.

Will my remaining message credits roll over to the next month?
No, they will not be carried over to the next month.
