About
CatGPT is a GPT-powered search tool providing reliable answers to cat-related questions, along with relevant sources. It leverages Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) by using a trusted corpus of Jackson Galaxy's YouTube transcripts. These transcripts are processed using OpenAI's API for transcription and Pinecone for vector embeddings and similarity search. The most relevant snippets are fed to GPT-3.5 to generate answers. The backend uses FastAPI and is hosted on Railway.app, while the frontend is built with Next.js and hosted on Vercel. The project is built using LangChain and its source code is publicly available on GitHub.
