What devices are compatible with BetterYou?
The BetterYou app works on iOS and Android phones. For fitness tracking, it connects with Fitbit, Apple Health, or Google Fit.
What Android permissions are needed?
Permissions depend on your goals, including Location (for places/sleep), Google Fit (steps), Battery Optimization, and Contacts (social).
My Android stats aren't updating – what should I do?
Give the app 30 mins to update. Try closing/re-opening, ensure Wi-Fi/Cellular data is on, and check Google Play Store for app updates.
What iOS permissions are needed?
Permissions depend on goals, including Location (places/sleep), Photo (Screen Time), Notification (nudges), Apple Health (steps), and Contacts.
My iOS stats aren't updating – what should I do?
Close/re-open app, check Wi-Fi/data, update app in App Store. For Screen Time, ensure you take "Last Week" screenshots weekly.
How does BetterYou detect Screen Time screenshots?
It checks your Photos for new "Last Week" Screen Time screenshots, securely uploads them, processes the data, and notifies you when credit is given.
How do I set a goal in BetterYou?
Go to the Goals tab, choose Physical, Social, Education, or Mindfulness, then set specific targets for sleep, steps, meditation, places, and more.
How do I track my progress?
BetterYou automatically tracks progress in the background. Check up-to-date stats for each wellness category by selecting a goal area in the Goals tab.
How do I earn rewards?
Earn the Onboarding Reward, Max Out Reward (goal in 1 week), Marathoner Reward (126k steps), and rewards through community wellness challenges.
How do I reset my password?
On the login page, click "forgot password?", then enter your email to receive a password reset link.
How can I deactivate my account?
Email your request to privacy@betteryou.ai. Deactivating your account will also permanently delete your data.
Do I need the internet to use BetterYou?
Yes, an internet connection is required for background tracking. Stats update when reconnected. You can still update goals offline.
How do I report an issue with the app?
Email help@betteryou.ai with a detailed description if the app crashes or you experience persistent issues.
