How does HereAfter work?
The HereAfter app guides your loved ones to audio record stories about their childhoods, relationships, experiences, personalities, and more. Then, authorized family members and friends simply speak their questions to the app.
Why is HereAfter better than conventional memory apps?
HereAfter makes it easy with a friendly, virtual interviewer and hundreds of questions to inspire stories. HereAfter is also interactive and conversational.
How do I access the app?
The app is available online at https://app.hereafter.ai. Android and iOS versions will be released soon.
Instead of using the app, can I hire an expert life story interviewer?
Our experienced life story interviewers are great at making people feel comfortable and getting them to share meaningful memories. For more information, email sales@hereafter.ai.
Can I use audio or video recordings that I already have of a loved one?
Our standard service requires the person sharing memories to record them using the HereAfter app. In some cases, we can create a custom version of our product. Email sales@hereafter.ai.
How does the 14-day free trial work?
Email support@hereafter.ai within 14 days after you sign up and you won’t be charged. Otherwise, your credit card will be billed monthly until you cancel.
What’s the difference between the subscription and single payment options? How long do I keep paying?
With subscription plans, you pay monthly for as long as you want to maintain interactive access. With single payment plans, you pay a larger amount up front and never pay again.
Does each person recording memories need their own account?
Yes. If you are buying HereAfter as a gift for your mom and dad, for instance, you need to purchase two plans.
Do family members listening to memories recorded by a loved one need to pay?
No, listening is free! Each paid account holder can invite as many people as they wish to access the memories they recorded.
I signed up for a subscription plan. Can I upgrade or switch to the single payment option?
Yes. Just email sales@hereafter.ai. You’ll receive credit for whatever you already paid.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Email your request to support@hereafter.ai.
Can I download the audio of the memories that get recorded?
The primary way you listen to and share stories is through our interactive app. Unlimited plan members can also email support@hereafter.ai to request .mp3 audio downloads.
Are you going to sell my information to other businesses?
Nope. Never.
Does your product work in languages other than English?
Not yet, but we hope to do this soon.
What happens if I’m no longer able to pay the subscription fee?
An authorized family member could continue paying to maintain access. Alternately, you can select one of the “Single payment” options from our pricing page.
