Goodlookup is a smart function for spreadsheet users, combining the intuition of GPT-3 with fuzzy matching capabilities. It allows users to perform topic clustering work in Google Sheets more efficiently, much like vlookup or index match. Unlike traditional fuzzy matching, Goodlookup takes into account similarities outside of literal strings, using recent advances in NLP to achieve semantic understanding. It helps modern spreadsheet users solve 'join problems' where data lives in multiple places without uniform naming conventions, making text-to-text record linking easier. The tool can match similar text contextually, identifying semantic relationships, synonyms, and cultural similarities, and provides a 'Score' to indicate match intensity.
