TerraQuanta offers an end-to-end AI weather model, Simba, for accurate power forecasting in renewable energy. It serves wind/solar farm owners, portfolio managers, grid operators, TSOs, and energy traders by improving prediction accuracy to reduce costs and increase profits through trading. Simba, TerraQuanta's AI model for meteorological forecasting, learns from historical weather data dating back to the 1980s to generate forecasts with industry-leading accuracy and efficiency. It uses billions of parameters, offers 0.1-degree global spatial resolution, and provides 7-15 days ahead prediction with verified accuracy. The platform leverages a novel cloud-native supercomputing system (OceanStorm) and an in-house/cloud-based Super GPU Cluster for smooth operations, supporting site-level forecasts with 30-90m local ground resolution.
