What is OnModel?
OnModel enables clothing stores to create variations of their model photos with AI by changing the model ethnicity, age, expression and more. You can also easily convert product images to on-model photos for categories such as Tshirts and Basic Tops.
How do I get started?
For Shopify users: to start you must have a product loaded in Shopify with compatible images. If you do not have products in Shopify, please create one and return to the OnModel app. You might need to refresh the app in your browser once you return. For webapp users: drag and drop a compatible image to the app. See below for what compatible images are: 1. Model Swap Change models in existing model photos. To start, your existing image must have an image of a model. 2. Tshirt to Model Convert a product image of a top to a model photo. To start your existing image must be a flat-lay or ghost mannequin image of a tshirt or basic top. We currently do not support images of products on hangers or mannequins on the apps. For access and compatibility with mannequin images, please signup for the waitlist to our beta program.
What license rights do we have for the generated images?
You own all assets you create with OnModel and we assign to you all rights, title and interest for these assets for commercial use. If you would like to view more details, please view our terms of service.
The output image at times has some issues, how can I improve it?
In order to produce new images automatically, the AI "hallucinates" what the image should look like. We recommend generating 3-5 images per photo and selecting the best one. Just like a traditional photoshoot with a camera, it's best to take multiple photos and picking. If you continue to see issues with a certain image, please reach out to support using the live chat or Support form in the Dashboard.
I have a lot of images to process, do I have to generate images one by one?
We recommend using the Batch mode to process images for your entire store. Images are processed automatically and you're able to approve them quickly in bulk. Batch Mode is available on the paid Plus Plan.
How do I place a tshirt on to a model?
If you have a compatible image for Tshirt to Model transfer, then the 2nd column in the app will change to give you options for converting the image to model images automatically. If the image is not compatible, you will receive an "unsupported" message.
What poses are supported?
For model swaps, all poses (front, back, side) are supported. For placing product images to models, we currently support front poses only. We are planning support for side and back poses in the near future.
When will more product categories be supported for converting product images to model images?
We are actively working on additional categories for product to model conversion. Stay tuned.
Do you support kids or baby models?
This is on our roadmap and we plan on supporting kids and baby models in the near future.
Do you support jewelry and footwear?
This is on our roadmap and we plan on supporting jewelry and footwear categories in the near future.
For placing clothing to models, what types of images are supported?
For AI photoshoots (placing clothing on models), we support flat-lay and ghost-mannequin images in the apps. For pure mannequin images, please contact us.
What kind of image formats do you support?
We support png, jpg and webp files. We do not support RAW or HEIC files.
I want to use images that are not on Shopify. Do I have to create a Shopify product each time?
Our webapp enables you to upload any image for Model Swap or Tshirt to Model features.
