Endless Visual Novel is an AI storytelling game where all assets — graphics, music, story, and characters — are generated by AI as you play, ensuring no two playthroughs are ever the same. The game is currently in Open Alpha, with new features continuously being added based on user feedback. For story generation, EndlessVN utilizes GPT-J / GPT-NeoX, with plans for larger models in the future. Visuals, including sprites and backgrounds, are generated using diffusion models like Stable Diffusion, guided by language models to fit the story context. Music is created using neural nets. The platform offers a Free tier, allowing play of official AI-generated worlds. The Voyager and Creator paid tiers provide advanced features like generating new worlds from prompts, customizing characters, free text input for dialogue, and access to experimental features, including asset uploads and advanced world generation (upcoming). User stories are kept private with AES-256 encryption. EndlessVN is developed by Augnition, a company based in Helsinki, Finland. A multiplayer option is planned for future development.

What is EndlessVN?
Endless Visual Novel is an AI storytelling game where all assets — graphics, music, story and characters — are generated by AI as you play. No two playthroughs will ever be the same.
How does this compare to other AI storytelling tools?
Endless Visual Novel is primarily a game, not a writing tool. It's easy to use, offering control over world and story without complicated settings. It can also be seen as a tool for creating Choose-Your-Own-Adventure (CYOA) visual novels.
How far along are you?
The underlying engine is playable but quite bare. We're constantly adding new features and tweaking things based on user feedback.
What model are you using to generate the story?
Text generation for EndlessVN uses GPT-J / GPT-NeoX. We will have additional larger models available in the future.
How are the visuals generated?
Sprites and backgrounds are generated using diffusion models like Stable Diffusion. Language models help create characters and backgrounds fitting the story. Players can eventually regenerate, customize, or use external assets to replace generated ones.
How is the music generated?
Music is generated using neural nets to create midi samples, which are then post-processed. Initially random, players will gain control over the soundtrack later.

How much will it cost?
There are three tiers: Free, Voyager, and Creator. Free allows playing public stories. Voyager and Creator tiers enable AI-generated adventures in custom worlds. Pricing may be adjusted during development.
How are my stories kept private?
Stories are secured with AES-256 encryption on our server. Generated assets (sprites, backgrounds) are unencrypted but unlinked to accounts. Anonymized data may be collected for AI improvement, aggregated, and not linked to your account.
Who is behind this project?
EndlessVN is developed by Augnition, a small R&D company based in Helsinki, Finland.
Will there be a multiplayer option?
We are planning to implement multiplayer, although it won't be available for the initial public alpha.
