How is the Evaluation version different from the Full version?
Effie offers an Evaluation version, and you can download it from[here](/download). If you plan to use Effie for personal and business purposes, please subscribe. With the Full version, you can unlock the following advanced features: * Best cloud storage * Upload original images * Publish your work to WordPress from within the software * Customize settings to maximize your writing efficiency * Customize the footer of your exported file * Customize your exported image options To ensure a more comprehensive user experience and reliable long-term use, we highly recommend that you upgrade to the Full version. Can I get a refund for my purchase?
Yes. If you're not satisfied with Effie, let us know within 72 hours of signing up for the monthly subscription, or within 30 days for the annual subscription, and we’ll give you your money back. All of it. Immediately. No questions asked. Please note: Refunds for purchases made via Mac App Store or iOS App Store need to be requested by you through your iTunes account.
How do I cancel my paid subscription?
Your installation of Effie will revert to the Evaluation version when you cancel your subscription. You can still enjoy all the features of your current plan until the end of your payment cycle. After that, you will only access the features offered with our Evaluation version. If you still want to cancel your subscription, just let us know and we'll process it for you. Or you can log in to your MyCommerce account[here ](https://account.mycommerce.com/)to cancel it yourself. Due to changes for consumer protection laws in Germany starting July 1, 2022, customers based in Germany can use the link[here](https://account.mycommerce.com/SubscriptionCancellationRequest/index) to cancel your subscriptions. Subscriptions made via the Mac App Store and iOS App Store are managed by iTunes directly, which is why we cannot process those cancellations. Does Effie have a browser-based platform?
No. we developed Effie with pure native codes optimized for each device to ensure the best user experience. Browser-based programs don’t usually guarantee this due to slow response time, lagging, and unstable network connections that can easily ruin your writing flow. There are too many factors that can cause mishaps, and we want only the best for you.
Why develop Effie with pure native codes?
We want to make sure that you have the most satisfying experience when using Effie, whether it be on Windows, Mac, iPhone, and iPad. To make this happen, better integration with the target OS platform is a must. So even though we realize that using pure native codes takes longer to develop and costs more, we still choose the road less traveled to ensure the end-user (you) receives the best product possible.
Can I have multiple Effie accounts?
Yes, there is no limit on how many accounts you can switch between your accounts anytime.
What do I do if the installation fail?
We suggest trying again by redownloading the Effie setup file from[here](/download) and installing it again. If you continue to have issues, please take a screenshot of any error notification and then click [here](/contact) to contact our support team.
How can I use Effie offline?
We strongly recommend that you don't use Effie offline. However, if you have to, please make sure that you backup your sheets manually before going back online to avoid any problems.
Is there a limit to the number of texts or sheets I can create?
There is no limit. You can create an unlimited number of texts or sheets and write as much as you want! Write, and then write some more.
I accidentally deleted a sheet or a folder. Where can I find it?
On the left sidebar, click the trash can button, and you’ll find your deleted sheets and folders. Please note: you can't retrive permanently deleted items.
How can I empty my trash?
On the left sidebar, right click the trash can button, and choose 'Empty Trash...' - This will clear all your sheets and folders. Please note: this will permanently delete all your sheets and folders in the trash can. Permanently deleted items can not be restored.
Can I adjust the text alignment?
Unfortunately not. All text is left-aligned at the moment.
Can I change the font style?
Yes. In the menu bar, click File > Preferences. Here you'll be able to change the font.
How can I adjust the size of the left sidebar (the library)?
Move your mouse cursor to the middle of the sheet list and the editor and when the mouse cursor display a double-sided arrow, drag and drop to adjust the size of the left sidebar.
How do I know syncing is complete?
Syncing is complete when you no longer see the not syncing icon. Make sure that your network connection is stable enough for the syncing to complete.
