The setup involves connecting to Discord by installing the Booper bot, selecting a forum channel using a `/chat init [channel]` command to get an app ID, and then integrating it into your React application using the `@booper/react` library. The tool supports real-time messaging, with AI-assisted responses coming soon (December 1). It simplifies user communication by centralizing it within Discord.
