Sawyer is Unakin's first AI agent, created specifically to help gamedevs with complex tasks across the development lifecycle. In a controlled experiment, developers with access to Sawyer were able to fix bugs at 2.8x the rate of those without. It enables UI creation by translating Figma files into working Unity UI, tackles complex tasks, and allows for repeatable workflows using a 'Playbook' system. Sawyer boasts a proprietary context engine that understands all relevant data, from code to design docs and profiling data. As a flexible, multi-purpose AI system, it assists with porting games, prototyping new features, or integrating SDKs. Sawyer is agent-led but human-controlled, ensuring users retain approval over major changes. It can instantly apply fixes, refactor messy code, analyze profiling data, plan new features, and resolve performance issues.
