Ermine.ai provides 100% local audio recording and transcription, ensuring complete privacy by processing all audio data directly within your browser without sending it to any external servers. This tool is designed specifically for English transcription. The initial use requires a one-time download and initialization of the transcription model, which is approximately 50MB and might take a few minutes. Subsequent uses will be significantly faster as the model is cached. Users will need to grant microphone access to utilize the recording functionality. Once transcription is complete, both the original audio and the generated transcript can be downloaded.
