DB Pilot AI can help you write SQL queries - simply give it instructions in English, then let it do its magic. It can also explain queries, debug errors, and convert between code and SQL.
Can I try the AI assistant before I buy?
Yes, you can try the AI assistant for 20 messages before you buy. You'll need to provide your own API keys for the AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google AI, etc.).
Which operating systems are supported?
DB Pilot can be used on Mac (both M chip and Intel), with support for Linux and Windows coming soon.
Which databases are supported?
You can connect PostgreSQL, CockroachDB, MySQL, SQLite, chDB (local ClickHouse), and DuckDB databases. We're continuously adding support for more databases.
How is my data used and stored?
All app data is stored locally on your computer, with sensitive information secured in your device's keychain. Database connectivity is direct, and no database data is stored on our servers.
Can the AI assistant read my data?
No, the AI assistant cannot read your data. It knows which tables and columns exist to assist you better, but it doesn't have access to any actual data.
What are notebooks and how do they help?
Notebooks allow you to mix and match SQL, Python, text, and interactive tables & charts to explore data and build dashboards. They're perfect for iterative data exploration.
What's the difference between subscription and one-time purchase?
The subscription ($20/month) includes all premium features and AI costs are covered. The one-time purchase ($79) gives access to features in app versions released within 1 year. Own API key needed for AI with one-time plan.
