Cortex Labs provides an innovative blockchain solution designed to overcome the historical challenge of executing machine learning models efficiently and deterministically on-chain. Before Cortex, DApps needing ML models relied on off-chain inference, which undermined the integrity of smart contracts. Cortex addresses this by leveraging its unique CVM (Cortex Virtual Machine) which utilizes GPU for computations, and MRT (Model Representation Technology) for quantization and integer-only inference. Additionally, they've launched ZkMatrix, a Layer2 ZkRollup Solution on the Cortex Blockchain, aimed at expanding transaction per second (TPS) and significantly reducing transaction fees by aggregating batches of transitions.
