About
Cortex is a groundbreaking blockchain platform that addresses the challenge of executing machine learning models directly on-chain. Prior to Cortex, dApps incorporating ML models had to rely on off-chain inference, which undermined the decentralized and verifiable nature of smart contracts. Cortex has resolved this by introducing the Cortex Virtual Machine (CVM), which leverages GPUs instead of CPUs for processing, and MRT technology, which employs quantization and integer-only inference. This innovation allows for efficient and deterministic on-chain ML model execution. Furthermore, Cortex is launching ZkMatrix, a Layer2 zkRollup solution on its blockchain, aimed at significantly expanding transaction per second (TPS) and reducing transaction fees.
