What is A Smart?
A Smart is an edge AI-type automatic meter reading service that uses an attachment method to IoT-enable the field. It installs a numerical reading attachment AIoT camera on existing meters such as electricity, gas, and water meters and analog meters, and transmits the measured data to the cloud using LPWA. Server transmission is possible without the need to build network infrastructure, enabling automation of inspection work, visualization of data, and optimization through analysis.
What kind of business improvement can be expected?
It solves issues such as: - A large number of old meters require significant effort in inspection. - Meters are difficult to visually inspect due to their installation location. - Meter reading causes inconvenience to customers. - Meter reading values must be recorded photographically, resulting in cumbersome data management and data extraction.
Wouldn't smart meters be faster?
Smart meter changes require significant capital investment. Our service offers similar benefits with minimal investment.
What types of meters are supported?
FALCON 201 supports meters with numerical displays. FALCON 501 supports needle meters, flow meters, and LED lamps often found in factories, in addition to meters with numerical displays.
Are there any restrictions on meter types or manufacturers?
There are no restrictions.
Can the multiplier, decimal point, and product number on the meter be read?
Not currently. Multipliers and decimals must be set for each meter.
How many digits can the rotary analog meter handle?
Up to 8 digits.
How many digits can the digital meter handle?
Up to 8 digits.
Can decimals be read?
Yes. The number of decimal places can be set on the cloud.
Simple mounting jigs are available because decimal places are often required in numerical values?
Yes, using a fixed stand, the shooting distance of the AIoT camera can be adjusted to increase the range of view.
What about meter replacement?
The AIoT camera can be removed and reinstalled.
Can the meter replacement date be set?
Currently, system specifications do not support this.
Is it possible to set the usage threshold of the meter?
Yes, monitoring of the range of usage and the comparison range with the previous meter reading is possible.
What is the difference between FALCON 501 and FALCON 201?
FALCON 201 supports only meters that display "numbers." FALCON 501 supports not only meters that display "numbers" but also needle meters commonly used in factories.
Can multiple meters be metered with a single camera shot?
