How do I access the Favorites and Summarize Features?
Access the sidepanel via the extension icon in the search popup or Chrome's 'Show Sidepanel' option. This requires a verified Locus account.
How does OpenAI / ChatGPT integration work?
Locus uses your own OpenAI API key for integration, which remains in your browser. Create an account, add credit, and generate your key on the OpenAI platform. Set limits in your OpenAI dashboard if needed.
How does Locus protect my data?
Locus does not store personal info, using services like Memberstack for accounts. Document data expires per plan, except favorites, and is deleted. Your data is only for your searches; Locus does not train models with it.
How can I reset my password?
Go to the forgot password section, enter your email, click 'reset password', and you'll receive an email to create a new password for your Locus account.
How can I verify my account?
Log in, click to resend the verification email from the yellow banner, then check your inbox and follow the instructions to complete the process.
Why is there a red dot in my extension icon?
A red dot indicates a new version. Chrome usually updates automatically, but you can manually update by right-clicking the icon, selecting 'Manage extension', then clicking 'Version X.X.X New Version Available'.
