Locus AI is a smart search and AI assistant tool that reimagines Ctrl+F with natural language understanding. It allows users to quickly find information on web pages and PDFs, synthesize information, brainstorm research topics, and create study note cards. The tool offers personalized AI assistance, including summarization, brainstorming, and study features. Users can save information using Favorites. FAQs
How do I access the Favorites and Summarize Features?
The sidepanel view of the extension is available byr using the icon in the search popup of Locus or, using the "Show Sidepanel" option in chrome. This option is available if you have validated your email.
How does OpenAI / ChatGPT integration work?
Locus's use of OpenAI is strictly limited — as such we require you use your own API key. Your OpenAI key does not leave the browser, and you can also set your own limit in your OpenAI account dashboard if needed.
How does Locus protect my data?
Locus does not store any personal information. Document data in our platform expires and is deleted after a determined amount of time depending on your plan, with the exception of matches marked as favorites.
How can I reset my password?
Go to the forgot password section, enter your email address, and click the "reset password" button. You will receive an email where you can create a new password.
How can I verify my account?
Go to the Login section, log in using your credentials. If you haven't received the verification email, click on the option to resend it. Go to your email inbox and follow the provided instructions.
Why is there a red dot in my extension icon?
Go to the Options page (Right click on the extension icon, Manage extension), Click on your name, Click on the last option that says "Version X.X.X New Version Available"
