Can I use Synthesis Tutor on a tablet?
Yes! Synthesis Tutor is available to download in the iPad App Store. You can also run Synthesis Tutor on your desktop or computer, including Chromebooks. Android tablet support is currently in the works.
Is Synthesis Tutor AI?
Synthesis Tutor leverages AI where appropriate while relying on our team of expert educators and neuroscientists to handle much of the pedagogy and interactive experiences. We can guarantee the best results because we do not simply outsource your child’s education teaching to an LLM. We comb over the experiences to ensure every lesson and interaction is of the highest quality. In short, it is not Chat-GPT. It is much better.
How will the system evaluate student progress?
The system evaluates student progress in real time with "micro-assessments" present in every lesson, constantly checking for student understanding before moving on to new material. Our model is continuous assessment vs. a one-time test. Your child will move on in a lesson or unit once they demonstrate they have understood and mastered the material being taught. We also send weekly progress emails that will include AI generated summaries of your child’s progress throughout the week, including specifics on where they struggled and where they triumphed.
