Podle čeho Verifee určuje důvěryhodnost článku?
Verifee rozpozná znaky, které mají nedůvěryhodné články společné. Může jít o argumentační fauly, clickbaitový titulek, neuvedené autory nebo útočný jazyk. Podle jejich četnosti v textu určí takzvané skóre důvěryhodnosti a zařadí článek do jedné ze čtyř kategorií, které vám rychle objasní, jestli můžete obsahu článku důvěřovat.
Co je to skóre důvěryhodnosti?
Skóre důvěryhodnosti je hlavním výstupem analýzy každého článku. Souhrnně vypovídá o tom, zda jsou informace obsažené v textu prezentovány objektivně, patřičně podloženy a článek jako takový neobsahuje manipulativní prvky. Jeho hodnota se vždy pohybuje na škále od 0 do 100, kde 0 znamená nejnižší a 100 nejvyšší důvěryhodnost.
Může aplikace cenzurovat články?
Ne. Verifee totiž žádným způsobem neskrývá články, kterým určí nízké skóre. Ty jsou uživateli přístupné ve své původní podobě, aplikace na ně pouze upozorní. Samotný čtenář se poté rozhodne, jestli bude brát skóre v potaz.
Určuje Verifee pravdu?
Určit pravdu je velmi složitý problém, neboť se rychle mění a u nových skutečností si občas nemůžeme být jejich pravdivostí jistí. Z tohoto důvodu se zaměřujeme na určování důvěryhodnosti článku. Manipulativní nebo klamavé texty používají věty sestavené určitým způsobem. Náš nástroj se naučil tyto větné struktury rozpoznávat, a je tak schopen analyzovat články a přiřadit jim odpovídající skóre důvěryhodnosti. Neurčujeme tedy, co je pravda, ale jestli můžete věřit tomu, co vám článek tvrdí.
Může aplikace stranit konkrétním skupinám?
Ne. Aplikace totiž nevnímá témata článků jako taková, ale způsob, kterým jsou prezentovány. Celý systém byl učen na datech sesbíraných ve spolupráci s Univerzitou Karlovou, kde byla celková důvěryhodnost vyvozena podle naší komplexní metodologie anotací. Studenti tak články hodnotili dle několika desítek velmi detailních aspektů formy podání, aniž by se zaměřovali na jejich témata. Přesto jsme systém na přítomnost tendencí vůči různým politickým názorům či směrům intenzivně testovali a zaujatost vůči tématům jsme neodhalili.
Mohou sponzoři projektu ovlivnit výsledky analýzy?
Verifee nekontroluje pravdivost tvrzení obsažených v článku, ale analyzuje důvěryhodnost článku a to, jestli jsou v nich informace podávané vyváženě, jsou citované či relevantně podložené a neobsahují jakékoliv manipulativní techniky. Tento proces se přitom nijak neliší dle témat, politiků, nebo zmíněných firem, tudíž naši partneři výsledky manipulovat nemohou.
Analyzuje Verifee všechny články?
Verifee má vlastní seznam českých zpravodajských webů, jejichž články analyzuje. K textům, které čtete na jiných stránkách, nemá přístup. Autor článku může zažádat o vyřazení konkrétního textu z analýzy. Tato informace se však u článku bude namísto analýzy objevovat, aby měli čtenáři možnost utvořit si o situaci přehled.
