Ellie is an AI email assistant that learns from your writing style and creates replies to emails as if they were written by you. It understands email context, learns from your email history, and can be taught new information. Ellie works directly in your inbox as a browser extension and offers multilingual support, roles, and the ability to provide additional context. Perfect for personal or team use.

FAQs
Does Ellie read my emails?
No, Ellie doesn't access your emails. You can provide Ellie with some example email data so that the AI will match your style better, and when replying to a thread Ellie will read the most recent replies.
What browsers are supported?
Ellie is available as a Chrome, Firefox or Edge Extension. Visit the [downloads](/downloads) page for more information.
What email clients are supported?
So far Gmail, Outlook and Fastmail are fully supported, but you can use the toolbar popup to generate a reply to emails in other clients.
Why is there a limit on the number of replies?
Sorry! Training AI and generating content costs a fair amount of money. We're a small team without external funding so we have to charge for our work!
Why did you make this?
We think that there is a power imbalance in email. Although its one of the most useful inventions of all time, as a single email user, you have no control over who can email you.
How does teaching Ellie new information work?
You can provide Ellie with documents or URLs. Ellie will read the documents and crawl the URLs to learn the information.
I don't want you to read my private emails!
Your email replies are only used by Ellie to generate a response. We don't store the email data and promise to never share, sell, or do anything shady with your data.
Can I use Ellie to write cold-emails?
No. Ellie will only write replies to emails, not cold emails.
What is a reply?
Each plan gives you a certain number of replies. This is how many emails Ellie can write for you per day.
What's the difference between the AI models?
AI language models come in many different flavours. The current most advanced model is called GPT-4. This model is capable of advanced instruction and creativity.
What is Advanced Training?
GPT-4 has a general knowledge of the world, but is only trained from public data available on the internet.
What are roles for?
Our Roles feature allows you to specify different positions in your company for Ellie, each that use different training sets.
