TextSynth provides access to large language, text-to-image, text-to-speech, and speech-to-text models like Mistral, Llama, Stable Diffusion, and Whisper. These models are accessible via a REST API and an interactive playground, enabling diverse applications such as text completion, question answering, classification, chat, translation, image generation, and speech transcription. Founded in 2020, TextSynth was an early provider of GPT-2 access. The platform utilizes custom inference code to achieve faster and more cost-effective inference on standard GPUs and CPUs. All servers are located in France, ensuring data locality. A basic free service is available with rate limits, while unlimited access is provided through a credit-based system.

How does the pricing work ?
Pricing is usage-based per request. It's determined by tokens (LLM), images (Image Gen), audio duration (STT), or characters (TTS). Generated units are often more expensive. Real-time API usage has specific rates.
How is the payment handled ?
TextSynth uses a credit system with pre-purchased credits to ensure you never pay more than expected. Payments are handled by Stripe, with a minimum purchase of €20 / $20.
Can I pay in euros ?
Yes, TextSynth accepts payments in euros too.
How long last the credits ?
Purchased credits last one year. If they are not fully used after this duration, they are no longer valid.
What happens when my number of credits goes down to zero ?
If your credits reach zero, your plan automatically reverts to the Free Plan with its limitations. The Standard Plan is re-enabled once your credit balance is greater than zero.
My balance used to be displayed in € or $. It is now displayed in credits. What happened ?
On June 30th, 2023, all account balances were converted to credits. The conversion rate was $1 to 1.00 credit and €1 to 1.17 credits.
