The Special Competitive Studies Project (SCSP) is a non-partisan, non-profit project aimed at making recommendations to enhance America's long-term competitiveness in the face of emerging technologies, particularly artificial intelligence (AI). Founded in response to the challenges of the techno-economic competition leading up to 2030, SCSP aims to shape the country's strategic responses to changes in national security, economy, and society. It builds on the legacy of prior initiatives like the National Security Commission on Artificial Intelligence (NSCAI), which focused on national security and AI development. SCSP's work is structured around six panels addressing Foreign Policy, Intelligence, Defense, Economy, Society, and Future Technology Platforms, comprising technologists, national security professionals, and experts to identify and champion opportunities for America.
