FAQs
Will the AI mask reflect my race/ethnicity?
Yes. We've worked very hard to make sure the AI models are race-agnostic. Just make sure to select the right features when creating your mask in the editor. Also, consider slightly changing the ethnicity of your mask to protect your identity even further.
Are AI masks allowed in the Terms of Service of other platforms?
Yes. AI masks are no different from traditional masks, face filters or even heavy makeup. The masks are 100% AI generated, they are not real people, so you are not stealing anyone's identity. Your face, your rules.
Can I use an AI mask to verify my identity on other platforms?
No, this is against ToS! You must verify your real identity for legal reasons. However once you're identity is verified, you are free to use AI masks on your content. Do not use our tool in unethical ways, we take this very seriously.
Do I need to upload pictures of my face to create the AI mask?
Yes, but only one per mask. We need this in order to find your face in your videos/photos and match the mask to your face shape and features.
Do you share or sell my data?
Hard no. Our entire business is based on keeping your identity secret. Sharing or selling your data would be like shooting ourselves in the foot. We don't and never will do this.
What if I don't like my mask?
If you are subscribed you can create unlimited masks and edit them until you find the perfect one for you. The editor shows you a low resolution preview of the masks, but we recommend trying them out on short videos to check how they will look.
Can I use other AI services to create an AI mask?
You can, but it is not easy, particularly for video. All other services don't allow NSFW content and do not generate AI masks automatically for you. You will need a powerful computer and programming skills.
How long does it take to mask a video?
We don't cut corners. Photorealism is our main priority, which means processing times can be quite long. You can assume that for 1 minute of video, it will take 20-30 mins of processing to see the result.
Will the AI mask look glithy or blurry?
Pseudoface needs a clear view of your face to apply the mask. If your face is not visible or not properly lit, you could see some artifacts in the mask. To prevent this: record in well lit conditions, avoid covering your face too much or turning your face away from the camera.
Is there a free version?
No, but there is a free trial/tutorial that will let you see how the AI mask looks on you. We would love to offer a free version in the future, but right now running these AI models requires high-end computers which are costly to run.
What do you do with the pictures and videos I upload?
Your content is stored in secured servers located in Europe. All data is encrypted both in transit and at rest and it's not linked to any identifiable information. We only use this data to improve your experience of the product.
Who owns the masked content?
You do. We grant you full commercial license and ownership over your videos and photos, masked or not.
What is the most realistic AI mask?
Pseudoface is, by far, the most realistic AI mask out there. In fact we are the only service that does this specifically for content creators.
