What is Malware.AI?
Malware.AI is an online service that analyzes files enabling the detection of viruses, trojans and other kinds of malicious content using an innovative technology.
How does Malware.AI work?
Malware.AI has developed a new and innovative method for detecting malware. For this we have been inspired by methods that are also used in human medicine. The development of self-learning algorithms is well advanced everywhere where the analysis of images is concerned, be it x-rays, photos or video sequences. Deep learning systems are successfully used in radiology, ophthalmology and dermatology, among others. Deep neural networks are used to reliably detect lung diseases in computer tomography, breast cancer cells in histological sectional images or diabetic retinal changes, for example. It is precisely this procedure that we make use of. For this purpose we convert files into graphical representations, analyse them holistically, and recognize from these images if there is something in them that should not be there.
Which files can I analyze?
Currently only PDF files can be analyzed. Office files are already being tested and will be released later this year.

When installed and enabled, Malware.AI Browser Extension works automatically in the background. Malware.AI Browser Extension shows pop-up notifications when you download a file or scan a link.
Which browsers and operating systems are supported?
We support Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Chromium based Browsers and in future also the new Microsoft Edge Browser under Microsoft Windows, Apple macOS and all current Linux distributions.
What is the Outlook Plugin?
Malware.AI Outlook Plugin helps to protect users from malicious emails.
How do I install the Malware.AI Outlook Plugin?
To install the Outlook plugin, simply download it from our website and install it. After the installation you have to log in and you are automatically protected.
How do I use Malware.AI Outlook Plugin?
When installed and enabled, Malware.AI Outlook Plugin works automatically in the background.
Which browsers and operating systems are supported?
Currently we only support Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Outlook version 2010 or higher.
What is the Malware.AI Scanner?
The Malware.AI Scanner is an application you can use to scan suspicious PDF files. When the scanner detects a file you get a notification showing you which file is malicious, and you can decide whether you want to delete the file or not. (If you did not enable the auto delete flag in the preferences)
How do I install the Malware.AI Scanner?
To install the Malware.AI Scanner, simply download it as a .exe (Windows) / .app (MacOS) / .AppImage (Linux) from our website and extract it. After extraction, you can simply execute it.
