Which sleep training method does Lizzy use? Do you do cry-it-out/Ferber/chair method/etc?
The short answer is Lizzy mostly employs a controlled crying technique where you allow your child to cry for a certain interval of time and learn to listen and respond appropriately to your child as necessary. The long answer: Techniques like [cry-it-out/Ferber/chari method/controlled crying/etc] are methods to help your child go to sleep, but they are just one component of sleep training. Lizzy takes a holistic approach to sleep training. Yes, interventions and getting them to sleep is one part of it, but the fundamentals like appropriate wake windows, feedings, and proper sleep environment must be established first. Often, parents trying to sleep train jump right to a technique like Ferber without first establishing strong fundamentals of sleep. If your child is overtired and has had bad naps all day your sleep technique will probably be irrelevant! Lizzy is designed to create a plan and ongoing support that helps you with all these things. It is custom to your parenting preference and child. We believe in being responsive to your child's needs while using a variety of interventions to get your baby self-soothing.

By the end, your child should be on their way to breaking negative sleep associations and self-soothing to sleep. You'll work through extending naps and sleeping through the night via a tailored sleep training methodology you can stick to. 3. Sleep 101 (3 months+) - An introduction to all things baby sleep. You'll learn what influences baby sleep and what sleep training is. If you're not ready for sleep training yet or just want to learn the basics, start here.
