About
The CERC-AAI Lab, led by Irina Rish at the University of Montreal and Mila - Quebec AI Institute, focuses on advancing AI towards more general, human-like intelligence. Research areas include building large-scale AI foundation models, understanding neural scaling laws, continual learning, robustness, nonlinear dynamical neural systems, and RL. The lab aims to augment AI by connecting it with knowledge from biology, neuroscience, and other disciplines, fostering a unified science of biological and artificial intelligence.
