About
icolung is a cloud-based AI software designed for the analysis of non-contrast chest CT images. Developed as part of the EU Horizon 2020 co-funded icovid project, it aims to detect COVID-19 at an early stage and quantify the extent of lung lesions. The software provides diagnostic support, increases CT imaging sensitivity and specificity with AI, and offers fast, objective, and standardized quantification of lung involvement for severity scoring and triage. It supports better-informed treatment decisions through higher specificity for outcome prediction and efficient, consistent reporting on pulmonary status, improving resource allocation. The project successfully impacted the care path of over 58,000 COVID-19 patients globally. icolung is available for clinical use in Europe and is offered free of charge.
