HookGen is a web app that creates original music hooks using artificial intelligence. It allows users to generate new songs by specifying emotion and note complexity. The generated songs can be played, stopped, or downloaded as MIDI files for use in DAWs. HookGen is free to use, and the generated songs are royalty-free. The AI learns from user interactions to improve its song generation capabilities. The creator aims to add more instruments by the end of 2019.

What is HookGen?
HookGen is a web app that creates a brand new original song using Artificial Intelligence. Currently only piano, but by the end of the year I will have simultaneous multi-instrument track generation (i.e. drums, strings, brass, guitar and bass)
Is HookGen free?
Yes HookGen is free. Furthermore songs generated are also royalty free; without the need to pay royalties or license fees
Can I use the MIDI file in my own songs?
Yes, sure! Even allowed in commercial use. Just press the download button then you can use the MIDI file within any DAW including Ableton, Pro Tools and Logic Pro X
Can I share a generated song?

Why is HookGen free?
HookGen logs how long you listened to a song, if you listened to the intro, middle or outro parts, and when you pressed stop or pressed the generate button again. The system logs what songs were skipped quickly, and what songs where repeatably played, this information is being feed back into the neural network and the AI is learning how to produce a better song everytime a user visits and interacts with this app.
Does this work on a mobile?
No, HookGen only works on a desktop PC or Mac. I mean it sort of works on a mobile but the mobile screen is way too small
