What is Healactively?
Healactively revolutionizes the self-management of persistent back pain with a low cost, highly scalable solution in the form of an app. The app acts as ‘your back wellness expert’ powered by science+AI, and incorporates a holistic approach to back wellness, evidence-based physiotherapy programs, and gamification.
How can I sign up for Healactively?
You can sign up for the app by completing the Self Assessment at https://account.healactively.com/signup. Simply complete a series of questions, set up your account, download the mobile app for either iOS and Android devices, receive your program and you’re good to go!
How much does it cost to use Healactively?
Price varies by country due to local taxes and is disclosed after you complete your self-assessment. Depending on the length of your back pain condition, we will recommend a 1, 3, 6 or 12-month subscription.
Is it possible to have a free trial of Healactively before committing?
Currently we do not offer a free trial.
Is Healactively a medical device?

Can I change my subscription plan?
Yes, you can change your subscription plan at any time by visiting your account settings and selecting a new plan. However, change will only happen at renewal time.
Can I cancel my membership at any time?
Yes, you can cancel your membership at any time through your account settings. No cancellation fees will apply. However, change will only happen at renewal time.
My back pain symptoms have come back but I had cancelled my subscription some time ago. What are my options?
If you cancel your subscription but do not delete your account and personal data you will be able to resume your subscription without the need to redo the self-assessment. If you had deleted your account and personal data you will need to create a new account and start from scratch.
Are your back wellness plans personalized?
Yes, our wellness plans are highly personalized based on data that you provide us in the Self-Assessment, including your back wellness goals, needs, age, gender, fitness level, symptoms and triggers, medical history.
How do I change my personalized plan?
Your plan is based on your self-assessment. Changing your personalized plan is currently not possible. When completing exercises you will be asked whether they were too easy, just right, or too difficult, which will adjust the level of the exercise according to the level of challenge you need.

The original concept for Healactively is based on more than 50 years of public research by leading back experts Dr Stuart McGill, Robin McKenzie and Prof. Peter O’Sullivan that our CEO and co-founder studied while he was recovering from his back pain journey.
Is Healactively safe to use? How can I be sure that I'm not worsening my condition when I use Healactively?
We ensure that a user does not worsen their condition by taking a personalized approach, starting with a comprehensive self-assessment (30-40 questions) to configure a safe and relevant wellness program.
How does Healactively work with physiotherapy or working out at the gym?
Healactively enables users to stay motivated to maintain a healthy routine at home through highly personalized exercises, relaxation, meditation, and a walking program adapted to their back wellness needs.
