What do I need to create a guide?

How much should I charge?
The minimum charge you can set is £1.99 and the maximum is £14.99, with options of £1 increments in between. Think about your target audience; how much disposable income do they have? What could they afford?
What pictures can I use?
You must have the correct commercial permissions to use the pictures within your audio guide.
Who owns the content of an audio guide?
The author of each guide has full ownership and responsibility over the content. It's their hard work so it's only right they own it.
Can I test my guide before I publish it?
Yes you can test your guide before you publish it with the Guide.AI app. In the app, make sure you have logged in with the same account details that you used to create the audio guide.
How to direct people to my guide?
Each guide has a unique "Guide.ID" which is shown on the "Details" page when editing that guide. This doesn't change if you create a new version of the same audio guide. You can encourage people to search for this on the Guide.AI app.
Do I have to pay to access my own guide when it's published?
Once published, to access your audio guide through the Guide.AI app you will have to pay the sale price if one is set, just to keep it fair. You can always access the content of the audio guide through the Author Portal website without purchasing the guide.
Can I edit the guide once it's published?
Yes you can quickly update the content of your audio guide whenever you like once it's been published. Clicking the Edit button on your audio guide in the Author Portal website will create a new version of your audio guide.
How do I take down/hide a published guide?
Guides can be unpublished through the Guide.AI website at any point. Within one hour of unpublishing a guide, the guide will not be visible on the Guide.AI app to all users, except those who already have a download of that guide.
Can I share my guide with someone else to test before I publish it?
You can share your guide with someone else you know before you publish it, so they can access it through the Guide.AI app.
Why is guide sharing not working?
The most likely cause is the email address you're trying to share a guide with is not registered with Guide.AI.
When do authors of audio guides get paid?
Audio guide authors are automatically paid any amount they're owed on the first of every month, based on the previous months sales. There is no minimum requirement to be paid.
How do authors of audio guides get paid?
By default, any amounts to be paid in a given month are paid automatically using “Stripe” finance service into your nominated bank account. However, this can be changed to a different set-up if required.
