About
GLTR (Giant Language Model Test Room) is a tool designed to detect automatically generated text. It analyzes text using a language model (GPT-2) to identify how likely each word is based on the preceding context. The tool highlights words based on their likelihood: green (top 10), yellow (top 100), red (top 1,000), and purple (less likely). It also provides histograms showing the distribution of word categories, probability ratios, and prediction entropies. By analyzing these visual and statistical cues, GLTR helps users assess whether a text was likely written by a human or generated by an AI.
