Are all emails scanned by Catch?
All non-promotional emails are scanned by Catch. Gmail labels promotional emails, which Catch skips since Gmail already reviewed them. Unscanned emails can be manually scanned via a button in the side panel.
Are all emails labelled?
Almost all are labelled "Low Risk", "Caution", or "Scam". Promotional emails are not labelled; users can manually scan unlabelled emails.
What are the labels and what do they mean?
Low Risk: Scanned, no concerns. Caution: Contains sensitive info (OTP, MFA codes). Scam: Detected as scam; delete immediately. Labels are accompanied by Red Flags and Next Steps in the side panel.
How accurate is Catch’s detection system?
Catch aims for 100% accuracy. "Scam Recall" (labeling scams as scams) is 98%. Occasionally, non-scams may be marked "Scam" or "Caution" ("Scam Precision"). Improvements are ongoing.
Does Catch store my data?
Scam emails are encrypted and stored in AWS for user protection and platform enhancement. Low Risk or Caution emails are NOT stored.
What if I think an email is a scam?
Use the "Send to Catch for Review" button. The Catch team will respond on whether it's a scam.
