Does your platform hallucinate cases that don't exist?
No. Descrybe is an indexed database of published U.S. judicial opinions. It only surfaces existing opinions and provides fixed, AI-generated summaries displayed alongside the original court record.
Do you offer a trial of the Legal Research Toolkit?
We don’t offer a formal free trial, but our flexible monthly pricing ($10 non-commercial, $20 commercial) acts like one. Subscribe for one month and cancel anytime, with no contracts or hidden fees.
How do I sign up for the Legal Research Toolkit?
Go to the Pricing page, choose your subscription level, and complete payment. Our system will then send an email invitation to create a login.
Does Descrybe share my searches or data with OpenAI?
Descrybe uses OpenAI’s API for some search queries. Inputs are securely transmitted for processing but not stored long-term, used for model training, or accessed beyond generating results. We are a Tier 5 OpenAI vendor, ensuring data privacy.
Do you share or sell user data?
No. We do not share or sell any user data.

How does your platform work?
Descrybe.ai uses AI to summarize judicial opinions and make them searchable using natural language. Traditional keyword search is available through the Legal Research Toolkit.
How current is your database?
Our database is generally updated through 2024. A new process in Q2 2025 will ensure cases are as up-to-date as possible, though some courts delay opinion publication.
Which judicial opinions are included?
All available U.S. state appellate and supreme court opinions since Jan 1, 1980, federal district, appellate, and supreme court opinions, and U.S. bankruptcy court opinions are included.
What languages are supported?
Summaries and search results are available in both English and Spanish.
Do you use off-the-shelf translation tools?
No. We’ve developed our own custom translation process, which we believe delivers more accurate and consistent results than standard tools.
Are the translations generated in real time?
No. All translations are pre-generated using Descrybe.ai’s custom translation and summarization process for consistency and fast performance.
Are different reading levels available?
Yes. We offer standard and simplified summaries in both English and Spanish to support users with limited reading proficiency.
What’s the difference between the free and paid tools?
