What is a "Workspace"?
A workspace is your team's home in Coda. It organizes your docs, and you can invite collaborators. Admins manage settings and accounts.
What is a "Doc Maker"?
Doc Makers create and manage docs, pages, folders, and workspaces. Editors edit and collaborate. Coda AI is included for Doc Makers.
Who do I pay for and why?
You pay for Doc Makers; Editors and Viewers are free. Billing is based on Doc Maker count, prorated mid-cycle.
How much does Coda AI cost?
Coda AI is included for Doc Makers, with credits based on your plan and Doc Maker count. Additional credits are available through add-ons or upgrades.
What is a credit?
A credit is roughly 40 English characters (7.5 words). Credits count AI usage (input + output).
How can I get more AI credits?
Add more Doc Makers, upgrade, or buy AI credit add-ons (2000/$2, 6000/$6, unlimited/$12 per Doc Maker monthly).
Can I give edit access to people outside my workspace?
Yes. Sharing a doc with those outside your workspace adds them as Guest Editors (editable access without full workspace access). Editors and Viewers within your workspace remain free.
What happens when I publicly share my doc?
Sharing a doc publicly allows anyone with the link to view and comment.
When will I get billed for my workspace?
You're billed upfront at signup and renewal for all workspace users. New users are prorated; charges exceed $1000 will trigger immediate billing.
Do I get a refund if I remove members or cancel my plan?
Removing members or canceling your plan results in a prorated credit for future charges.
