About
Climate Change AI (CCAI) is a global non-profit organization, founded in June 2019, composed of volunteers from academia and industry. Its mission is to catalyze impactful work at the intersection of climate change and machine learning. CCAI aims to build a diverse community, guide impactful work through educational resources and programs, fill gaps in essential infrastructure like funding and tools, and advance discourse to advise relevant players. They achieve this by hosting workshops and events, offering innovation grants, providing educational materials such as papers and tutorials, and fostering a community platform. CCAI facilitates collaboration and knowledge sharing, connecting experts in climate change with machine learning practitioners to address pressing environmental issues.

Can I collaborate with Climate Change AI on a research project?
CCAI promotes impactful collaborations but does not conduct in-house research. Use our community platform to find research collaborators.
I think it’s important to fight climate change, but I don’t think AI is where we should focus our efforts. Isn’t this a big distraction?
AI can play a useful role in climate strategies, and ML experts should join the effort. However, AI is only one piece; policy and other technical approaches are also critical. All hands are needed.
Can my organization partner with Climate Change AI?
