About
The Broad Learning System (BLS) is a novel approach to discriminative incremental learning. Unlike traditional deep learning methods, BLS avoids complex layered structures, instead expanding neural nodes broadly and updating weights incrementally as needed. This makes it particularly efficient for handling large datasets. The system shows superior performance compared to existing methods and has applications in pattern recognition, image recognition, speech recognition, and video processing. A notable application is BroadCF, proposed for recommender systems.
